By car
The highway exit (A61) is Mendig/Maria Laach. From the highway exit it is approx. 2 km to Maria Laach.
By train
The highway exit (A61) is Mendig/Maria Laach. From the highway exit it is approx. 2 km to Maria Laach and the Maria Laach Abbey is approx. 16 km from Andernach. The nearest train stations are Niedermendig and Andernach.
By bus

Parking
An automated parking barrier has been installed in the Benedictine Abbey visitor parking lot. A parking ticket must be taken at the entrance. Please keep the ticket safe.
From February 4, 2022, we take the liberty of charging the following fees for maintenance, care and order as well as to ensure smooth operation after the first half hour, which is free of charge:
For cars:
1.00 €/first hour or part thereof
3.00 €/second hour or part thereof
5.00 €/from the third hour or part thereof until midnight
For buses, motorhomes and cars from a height of 2.30 meters
3.00 €/first hour or part thereof
5.00 €/second hour or part thereof
7.00 €/from the third hour or part thereof until midnight
It is not possible to pay at the barrier system. The ticket validated by payment of the parking fee opens the barrier when exiting.
There are two parking machines in the visitor parking lot. Both are in the immediate vicinity of the tourist information office and the farm store. The parking machines are clearly visible from a distance thanks to large orange flags.
The exit is possible until 23:59 h of the respective day.
If you lose your parking ticket, you can obtain a new ticket from the parking machines.
